Teaching & Lecturing

Ted X

I am interested in describing the role of architecture and design to a wider audience and to date I have given over 200 talks on subjects. These talks have ranged, from information about the  design and procurement of major infrastructure, to a ‘Student’s guide to being a success in professional practice.’ As well as being invited to give a Ted X talk on the design and construction of Crossrail, I have been invited by rail organisations internationally such as MTR in Hong Kong and Sydney Metro to share the lessons learnt from delivering the Elizabeth line. I speak regularly at universities, primarily on the culture graduates need to foster to collaborate better. I have also been invited by creative agencies such as Ogilvy and Sony to describe the skills required to work effectively multi-disciplinary teams.

“We’ve had over 300 talks from creatives within the built environment and Harbinder has been thought of as one of our most engaging and informed speakers to date. Harbinder is extremely passionate with a strong breadth of experience.”

Bringing an incisive, critical and creative perspective to the topic of ‘Collaboration’, Harbinder’s lectures never fail to engage and inspire.”
