Ted X
I am interested in describing the role of architecture and design to a wider audience and to date I have given over 200 talks on subjects. These talks have ranged, from information about the design and procurement of major infrastructure, to a ‘Student’s guide to being a success in professional practice.’ As well as being invited to give a Ted X talk on the design and construction of Crossrail, I have been invited by rail organisations internationally such as MTR in Hong Kong and Sydney Metro to share the lessons learnt from delivering the Elizabeth line. I speak regularly at universities, primarily on the culture graduates need to foster to collaborate better. I have also been invited by creative agencies such as Ogilvy and Sony to describe the skills required to work effectively multi-disciplinary teams.
